Tell me a little about your background.

I was a registered nurse, with a Bachelors of Science and Nursing. I had been working as a registered nurse at a hospital in Vail.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

As a nurse, I saw reps doing in-services and thought it would be an interesting career. I was looking for more independence, something where I had my own territory and could be my own boss in a way. And I wanted something with more earning potential.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I was doing research on the internet, advice on resumes, ways to get in the industry, just looking for tips and insider information, and the Medical sales College came up in a search.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I had read about MSC for a year and half to two years ago, and didn?t do it at first because the timing wasn?t right. I took some time off backpacking though Europe. When I came back, I knew I didn?t want to do nursing anymore. For financial purposes I took a nursing position with a hospital in Vail, CO. After finishing that six-month contract nursing position, I decided, ?that?s it, I?ve done my last nursing job?. The timing was right and I was in a financial position that I could support myself while taking time off from a career.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

I had tried for about a year and a half on an off. I joined MedReps.com and began looking for a job. It was nothing but duds. About 50% of the time I didn?t get any reply at all. The other half of the time I got an email saying I didn?t have experience, even though I was a registered nurse and could do circles around managers in medical device sales when it comes to clinical experience. I got nothing but dead ends, no luck whatsoever.

Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?

Not really. Most of my concerns were financial, ?Am I going to have enough money to finish the program?. I was also a little concerned that it might be too difficult.
