Tell me a little about your background.
Environmental consulting project management, also I was an US Army Officer retired from the reserves.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
Seemed interesting and I needed a change from environmental work.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
Veterans? job fair in Baltimore, MD.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I had a short talk with a recruiter at the Vets? job fair and a long phone chat with the Admissions staff at the Medical Sales College that convinced me MSC was what I needed to advance my personal and professional goals.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
I was challenged right away. The work tempo was hectic at times and I found it to be somewhat stressful. The instructors were top notch and really helped prepare me for the job.
What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
I sold myself. I used DPS (Medical Sales College Sales Training Program ? Dynamic Psychological Selling) to get them talking and was able to communicate that hiring me was the best course of action they could follow.
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
6 weeks from graduation to hired. Interviewed with several companies and decided on S-One Medical, an independent K2M, Paradigm Medical, and Providence Medical distributor.
Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?
Sure I had fears, it had been 27 years since my last anatomy class!
Explain what your interview process was like.
Almost everybody that I interviewed with told me how difficult of an industry it is. The S-One team was the most positive, so I decided to sign with them.
What will you do in your new job?
MSC gave me insight into an industry that I had no clue about.
What is your current job like?
Spine medical device sales.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
MSC does a great job in letting you know what you need to know from a technical aspect. Additionally the DPS (Dynamic Psychological Sales) is excellent!
