Tell me a little about your background.

My previous background was in the telecommunications industry; where I was an installations/ and programming Technician; installing voice and data infrastructure, installing and programming PBX and VOIP telephone systems. Thereafter, I worked in a very high- end hospitality industry; where I sold expensive fine wines, and worked as a server at the Pelican Hill Golf Resort in Newport Beach. Between them both, I had lots of communication and people skills that helped me in all aspects of business and in life.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I have had a few friends that had been working successfully within the Medical Sales Industry, so that is what peeked my initial interest. That, and my passion to work with and want to help people in an environment where I felt I could help make a difference. What drew me to this industry would be that I have a great passion for the human race as a whole and find helping people in any aspect is extremely rewarding. The medical industry is where I knew I had to be, and Medical Sales College was the path to that!

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I learned of Medical Sales College from a friend who had heard of a College that some of his colleagues had crossed paths with when they were looking to enter into this field. I then did some research online and came in touch the ?Scott Binder? or Elite Med Recruiting. The rest is history!

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I made the decision to quit my job, and go all in, travel to the college and had a ?failure is not an option? type of attitude. I figured if I don?t do it now, I would be doing the same thing this time next year. And I am glad I took that chance!

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

The first two days were very laidback. Learning the instructor expectations, meeting classmates, and there stories, and lots of introductions. But when it came time to study and learn the products, biologics, and all about hospital protocols, I was a bit intimidated, and nervous, yet; I knew I was surrounded by great instructors and supported by all of my peers.

What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?

I would say every aspect of what I learned. Meaning; vocabulary, talking points about orthopedics and the implantable devices you learn so much about. And of course all of our role-plays, resume training, along with confidence about yourself and in yourself.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Because this is the absolute best way and resource for your success in the medical sales industry.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

Honestly I say I tried a few years, due to no prior experience and not being able to talk the talk, (so to speak), meaning having knowledge, vocabulary, and intelligent conversations, which you need to move forward in this industry. Overall the experience was a learning curve, yet, I found the right path with Medical Sales College.

Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?

I honestly didn?t know what to expect, yet, I knew the foundation they spoke of, and the recruiting system they had in place seemed to hold a true amount of validity, and looked to me to be a great business model. It was basically the not knowing the outcome and what would I be really able to learn in a short period of time. The instructors and their knowledge proved to be successful and I learned a ton!

Explain what your interview process was like.

It was a lengthy process, yet for good reasons. They are trying to make sure the product that they have there at the Medical Sales College fits the students needs and making sure the fit is right for both parties. Which is good. Because they don?t just let anyone in, and they look for serious people dedicated to this path into the Medical Industry.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

That there are resources out there we can use to progress in life and in our goals. The best thing is to trust the process and believe in you. Sometimes we can be complacent and distracted by what others say when you?re trying to do something new. Believe in yourself. End of story.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

All of the training is pertinent to your success; lectures, product knowledge, to role-plays with your classmates and instructors. It all comes full circle.
