Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
Graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Human Biology. Always wanted to get into medical device sales so I attended the college to help give me an edge on my resume and learn the ins and outs of the industry.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
Medical Science is my passion. When becoming a doctor didn?t suit me, I looked elsewhere. Medical device sales is where you can learn and sell the latest devices that science has to offer. It?s a constant learning experience and I get to learn about what I?m passionate about.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I happened upon it on Google one day after getting fed up with being turned down from job applications.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
After contacting the school and talking to their placement services provider, they made me feel much more confident in attending.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
It was like a well-oiled machine. Each week was structured around a topic of getting us ready for the final week when it all came together. The work days somewhat long but hey, this job requires numerous long work days too so in a way it prepared you for that as well.
What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
The 30/60/90 plan really helped set me apart. I don?t think any of the other candidates that interviewed had one. It was very helpful.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
I tried getting into the industry for about a year before the Medical Sales College. No industry would look at me without experience. After attending the school, I got much better results. Two months after graduating I got further than an entire year of searching on my own.
Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?
My biggest fear was would it be worth my time. If I went there and spent all of my money to not get hired, then I felt it would be a waste of time. However, my fears were obviously gone upon being hired.
Explain what your interview process was like.
My interview process mostly consisted of a phone interview first and then in person interviews. Some were as informal as meeting someone at a Starbucks and some were in offices around a table with multiple people. I noticed a lot of the questions were mostly about the job requirements. Making sure we understood the responsibilities of the position and how much effort we need to put into our territory.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
To always stay on top of things. Whether that be knowing when your cases are or making sure the materials for each case is available. This makes your life easier and ultimately gives you more time to focus on selling accumulating business.
