Tell me a little about your background.
I graduated from SFA in Nacogdoches, TX with a Bachelor?s Degree in Kinesiology and minor in health science. I always knew I wanted to be in the medical field. Being a medical sales rep has been my goal and dream for as long as I can remember.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I have always had a passion for sales and healthcare.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I was told about it through a friend of mine who graduated from there as well.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I was ready to start my career in medical sales and was tired of applying to jobs and not getting anywhere.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
It was a wonderful experience, I loved my professors as well as the environment.
What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
Knowing the overall day of a rep and knowing what exactly a rep?s job responsibilities are. The interviewer wanted to know if I knew what I was signing myself up for if I took the position.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
7 months of applying to 30 to 40 jobs a day without any luck.
Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?
No, I did not. I knew it was going to lead me to my dream career.
Explain what your interview process was like.
I went through one face to face interview and then observed a total knee replacement with a rep from the company. After that I was offered the job.
What is your current job like?
It?s great! I love the people as well as the company?s products.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
Learning what being a good rep truly is. My first whole week has been focused on getting credentialed. I have not yet worked in the field.
