Tell me a little about your background.

I have been in various kinds of sales jobs but had no medical background prior to attending MSC. I have a competitive nature and enjoy interacting with people.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

My father was in pharmaceutical sales and I have always had the desire to push myself to the next level in my sales career. The compensation and reward of helping people is what drew me.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I learned about MSC through a recruiter at Zimmer Biomet.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I looked at the occupational outlook handbook, which tells you about pretty much every job out there, and realized that I needed MSC to break into the industry.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

It went from friendly and rapport building the first week to intensely competitive and collaborative after that.

What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?

The top three things that I used were: surgeon profiling, techniques, and business plan.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Because the probability of getting in without attending MSC is very low, despite your background.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

I struggled to get in the industry off an on for several years. It was a very frustrating experience.

Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?

I was concerned about whether I would get the return on my investment and also the time of unemployment upon graduation.

Explain what your interview process was like.

My interview process was long and sometimes cumbersome. However, it taught me discipline that I will be able to use in the field.

What is your current job like?

I worked a 1099 position for a few weeks to ?get my feet wet? but will start with a new company in a few weeks.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

Execution of the business plan, surgeon profiling, and how to effectively research and represent products.
