Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
Early on I thought I would end up in Medical School but life took a different route. I had a varied sales and marketing background while in my primary role as Mom to my two (now grown) boys.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I?ve been interested in getting into the clinical side of the medical field my whole life but the timing wasn?t ever good for one reason or another. I didn?t think about the medical sales side of the industry until my husband showed me an advertisement for MSC. It took me less than 1 second to realize how perfect of a fit Medical Sales would be for me- my sales experience and my desire to be in the medical field aligned perfectly with a Medical Device Sales career.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
My husband found it on LinkedIn.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
After speaking with Kim Smalley and researching MSC, I felt confident that MSC provided me the best possible advantage available for getting into the industry.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
I am someone who, once I commit, I am ALL in. The training is intense and there isn?t time to do anything else but dive into the curriculum with full commitment. That being said, what is 6-8 weeks of your life to devote to something that can be life changing? That was what kept me motivated. The instructors at MSC are unbelievably tenured in the industry and simply put?.they know their stuff!
What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
For sure, customizing a business plan for each in-person interview helped me stand out.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
I did not apply for any jobs in the industry before attending MSC.
Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?
It is a huge financial commitment both with the tuition and lack of income while attending MSC. I planned ahead financially and then with 100% commitment, confidence and dedication -I applied myself to the education as well as putting in the work necessary to finding a job after graduation.
Explain what your interview process was like.
Sending out resume?s, customizing cover letters for each application and staying positive during the exhausting process is a must. Your full-time job after graduation is promoting yourself. Once I had an interview set up, I fully prepared for each one as if it were going to be my one and only shot. I also did not limit myself to one area in the industry. I ended up in Pulmonology and early lung cancer detection but went to school for Spine.
What is your current job like?
I start in a couple of days, but know I will be traveling quite a bit in my territory. I?ll be working with physicians, physician groups, physician liaisons, department managers, and other administrators to support the Company?s products, systems, and services by providing requested guidance and case coverage.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
I can?t answer this yet because I haven?t started my job.
