Student Testimonials
Tell me a little about your background.
I have always had a love for personal health and well being and helping others achieve their own, that directly translated into working as a fitness instructor at my local gym my Junior and Senior year of high school. After getting my diploma I knew that I wanted to build on those practices and decided to attend Oklahoma State University and purse a degree in Nutritional Sciences as human nutrition is a direct effector of issues faced in health care today. After my first semester I had a clear idea that one day I wanted to become a nurse anesthetist, due to my fascination within the medical field. After many hours of shadowing and working alongside different nursing specialties in the emergency department I decided I did not want to be a nurse anesthetist anymore. With this decision and graduation approaching I began researching what I could do with my degree and previous work history and time-and-time again the medical device industry crossed my mind. With research and after talking to individuals in the Pharma and Medical Device industries I decided to go for it, little did I know how hard it was to get into with little to no experience. I had people tell me to go get B2B, but I did not want to and that is when I decided to apply to Medical Sales College. After completing the Ortho Recon and Trauma course in Dallas, I was vastly prepared to get a job and become a contributing member of a medical device company.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I have always had a fascination with the human body and how medicine helps people. With my previous experience working in a healthcare facility and customer service background, I would be able to combine the skills learned and utilize them in a medical sales role.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I learned about Medical Sales College through a social media platform.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I decided to attend MSC after talking to past graduates and being able to give myself the opportunity to learn the tricks-and-trades of the industry, and ultimately, I believed this was my best shot at landing a position in this industry.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
INCREDIBLE. Learning from people who are so passionate and insightful about what really happens in the medical device industry helped fuel my fire to get a job even more. The training was extremely thorough and intense at times, but when you?re learning from people who are just as excited as you are about getting a job you don?t complain, you just absorb.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
I tried for around a month or two after graduating from Oklahoma State University.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
The most valuable piece of information I learned at MSC was to go into interviews with every piece of ammunition you can. Things like cardstock printed resumes, business plans, studies and extensive research on the job and it?s specific devices. This shows a level of investment into the position and employers appreciate investment.
