Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I have always wanted to work in the medical field and it is very hard to break into.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

It seriously prepares people to land interviews and impress employers. This was the first job I applied for and the company was impressed with what I presented them. Without MSC, I would not have known how to out-shine other candidates. MSC helped me feel extremely prepared and comfortable during the entire interview process.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

I was referred by someone on LinkedIn to apply, then I had three over-the-phone interviews with the clinical director, the regional clinical manager, and the internal hiring recruiter. The phone interviews were followed by an in-person interview with all three men. Lastly, I had a meeting with a senior applications specialist who was already a part of the company.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

Nothing that comes to mind. MSC met my expectations.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

Knowing the science and technologies associated with spine was helpful, but I'd say the thing that landed me the job was learning how to express the drive I have to be successful with the company. At MSC, we were taught to review the company's technology, read company articles, and know the history. These were the characteristics that they said landed me the position. They said I was clearly hungry to work for them. They also liked that I had profiled surgeons in the area.

Also, I was able to give my employer a copy of the letter and transcripts that we received upon graduation and this was very useful for myself, not having any experience in the field. I was able to leave more than just my resume.
