Student Testimonials
Tell me a little about your background.
20+ years of successful B2B/B2C sales with extensive awards ranging from Presidents Council and Circle of Excellence appointments. Background includes - Corporate Advertising Sales, Consumer Sales (Nextel Communications) and Mortgage Broker Sales.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I was seeking new challenges and felt that I reached the pinnacle of my advertising career after 7+ years of success in the digital/print industry. Also, as an avid advocate for healthy living and balanced family life.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
Via online research: Way back in 2012 when it was still called AIMS and only 1 location existed in Denver, Colorado.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
Alexandria, VA location opened up (only one in NE corridor) as well as student testimonials from prior MSC graduates.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
R&R. RELENTLESS & RIGOROUS. Extremely knowledgeable staff (teachers) who were prior SUPERSTARS in the industry.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
I knew I had a very slim chance of getting into the industry WITHOUT some form of formal training or schooling. MSC certainly afforded me that opportunity.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
Just in fact how EXTREMELY hard it is to break into this industry. Over the past 6 months I've experienced many emotional ebbs/flows but I MUST say that it was well worth the wait! Once you enter into the "building" of medical device sales you RARELY never leave, merely NAVIGATE which floors are next.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
Already having the pedigree of a polished professional with past sales success and high levels of achievement, the most valuable piece of info I learned was to be HUNGRY to earn YET HUMBLE to learn. Be a resource to your surgeon, scrub tech, circulator (nurse) and Hospital materials manager.
