Student Testimonials
Tell me a little about your background.
I grew up as an athlete playing basketball through college at University of the Pacific where I graduated. I have been in sales for 6 years working with companies such as Grainger and PPG Industries on a B2B platform. I enjoy Sales because much like sports it is a very competitive industry where you win some and you lose some, but you can always learn from your mistakes.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I was interested in Medical Sales because it is an industry where if you put in the effort and get the results then you can really be rewarded for your work. In addition to that you get to interact with some of the world?s smartest individuals on a daily basis. Also, the Medical industry is constantly evolving so in this industry you truly never stop learning and that will always keep me excited to work daily.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I was on Linkedin searching for jobs and came across an ad that described a way to go to school to break into the Medical Device industry and from there I did more research and ultimately decided to attend their course.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
What made me decide to take their course was the students who had taken their course prior to me and hearing their success stories in landing a role in the Medical Device industry.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
The training experience at MSC was great, I really learned quite a bit from O.R. conduct to the steps of conducting total joint replacements. And the best thing of all is our instructors have already been sales reps in the Medical device industry with many years of experience so there is nobody better to learn from than someone who has been through the daily work experiences.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
I had applied for jobs for about 3 to 4 years prior attending MSC.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
I wish I had a better understanding of operating room knowledge and medical terminology needed to be able to communicate with surgeons at a level needed for success in this industry.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
I don?t know if it was just one thing but showing the hiring manager that I had an understanding of what is expected in this industry and that you are willing to learn more will go a long way.
