Tell me a little about your background.

I was an athlete in college that ended up taking a career in sales after graduation. I worked in the industrial manufacturing industry for about 5 years before deciding to switch careers to medical device sales.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

The opportunity to help improve people?s lives, be in a career that I feel makes a difference in a person?s life, and to make money.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

My girlfriend found it on a google search when I was searching for medical device opportunities.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

The opportunity it presented to break into the industry.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

Training was great. Getting into the lab with saw bones and the first hand experience with the tools really helped. I would have loved for the opportunity to get into the OR, though.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

If they are serious about spending a long term career in medical device sales and will do whatever it takes then this is for them. But I will say you have to have the strong desire to want to be in the industry, otherwise, you?re wasting your time and your money. Also, I believe it is more beneficial for someone who?s worked in a different industry or has no experience in the medical field.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

Since college, 7 years.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

I spoke with the VP of Sales on the phone, then met in person, and finally was flown out to Vegas to meet their sales team and interview with the President and VP of the company.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

Preparation, know the material (i.e. products, studies, company, etc.)
