Tell me a little about your background.

I graduated from college at Colorado Mesa University, and joined the Army as an orthopedic technician. After two years, I managed the orthopedic clinic at West Point.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

One of the surgeons that I worked with told me that I should consider getting into medical sales.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I was looking for a medical device sales internship.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

The ability to gain experience in the field after the military.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

MSC gave me a great overview of what a medical device sales rep would do. The most valuable information was from the teacher?s prior experiences.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Medical Sales College gives you an overview of the technical information that will allow you to form an understanding of products when you start working in the industry. They also make the job hunting process much easier.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

I was contacted by a recruiter, and we had a phone interview. Then, I had an interview with the territory manager. After that, I shadowed one of the territory reps in Cheyenne. The Gallup interview was next, and then I met with the GM. The day after meeting with the GM, I was given an offer.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

The most vital information to landing a job that I learned from MSC was the details of the interviewing process (When to follow up, knowing when there may be an offer, questions that are expected, the Gallup, etc.).
