Student Testimonials
Tell me a little about your background.
I bartended/cocktailed in the service industry for a couple years following college because I was unsure what career I wanted and I had some travel goals I wanted to pursue first. Once I was ready to begin a career I knew I had what it takes to be successful in sales and I had a friend that graduated from MSC and was doing really well. After I found out they opened a campus in San Diego (where I had just moved) , I decided I was going for it!
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
A couple reasons! I?ve always had a passion for the medical field in general. I thought I could do really well in sales and I know Medical Sales specifically is high energy, high pressure, and not for everyone! I think I thrive under these circumstances.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I have a friend that graduated MSC two years before me and he was doing really well in his career already.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
Placement rate, student testimonials, and all the help/thoroughness/transparency from staff.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
It was definitely harder than I expected but I was happy about that! I wanted to make sure we were getting the education that we were paying for. I think the program is very thorough, the teachers are very knowledgable, and they provide a lot of great resources for every aspect of landing the job.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
Not long at all. I had 1 interview that I didn?t get and that was what ultimately made my decision to attend.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
To not get discouraged when you keep getting turned down (whether it be during the job search or our in the field)! Part of the process is not having fear of rejection. I was really anxious to get a job right away and I was getting nervous that my background wasn?t enough for what they were looking for. You have to stay persistent and positive throughout the process and it will work out!
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
I wouldn?t say that that was one specific thing was the most valuable. I think there were so many different moving parts that all have to fit what the company is looking for. The business plan was definitely worth it, and the confidence that I gained during MSC was huge because I felt I could hold a knowledgeable conversation about the industry with the interviewer.
