Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
I graduated from Hebbronville High School in 2014 and shortly after attended Texas A&M University. I graduated with a B.A. degree in Communication and a minor in Business Administration. Throughout my summers in college I worked at a local dealership where I ultimately found my passion for sales. After consistently trying to get into the medical device industry and ultimately not working in my favor, I was given the opportunity to teach 8th grade mathematics. Throughout the year I found Medical Sales College. I decided to attend with the hopes that I would be able to enter into the competitive industry.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
Knowing that I had a passion for sales, I always wondered what kind of sales I wanted to do. I think it is amazing that through this industry we are able to help patients without being a health care provider. I like how that the job is challenging.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I learned about Medical Sales College through my own research online.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I decided to attend MSC because I knew this was the industry I wanted to be a part of and knew that MSC would provide me with the knowledge needed. I couldn?t have made a better decision. I know people do, but I cannot imagine coming into the industry without MSC training.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
The training and knowledge that I gained at MSC was the absolute best! Every single one of my teachers were so knowledgeable about the industry. The hands-on saw bones labs, videos, and lectures are all so well thought out and easy to understand.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
About 1 year.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
I wish I knew how to network! Networking was huge for me. A lot of times, jobs are not posted and your resume has to be out there, rather, your name has to be out there. It all comes down to who you know and if the timing is right for you and the employer.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
I think it all has been so valuable for me. Specifically knowing different products in the market is what I think set me apart. During interviews, I was able to speak about competing products that seemed to have been shocking for the interviewer.
