Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration & Marketing December of 2018, originally planning on working in the sports industry post graduation. I completed an internship with the Minnesota Twins as their Business Operations intern during spring training in Fort Myers, FL. While the sports industry was a blast, I realized that it was not truly my passion. After talking with a few friends in the industry, including two who attended MSC, I took an interest in medical device sales. Which led me to attend the Spine and Orthopedic Reconstruction & Trauma course in Denver, CO.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I was originally a Healthcare Administration major, so I had always been interested in the healthcare system. I became interested in medical sales specifically after realizing my passion to work in an industry where I can continue to educate myself, as well as continue to grow my skills.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
As mentioned earlier, I had two friends who attended MSC within the last couple years.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I researched medical device sales for about 6 months before realizing that it is a very difficult industry to break into. I recognized the value of MSC through the testimonials, as well as the high placement rate.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
The training at MSC is fantastic! I learned more than I imagined I would and feel well prepared for the industry. During the interview process I was able to have knowledgeable conversations about anatomy, pathologies, procedures, medical terminology, etc. Today was my first day on the job and we attended a cadaver lab. It was amazing to see my education really pay off while I was able to follow the procedure, as well as identify anatomy and instruments.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
I casually applied to 2-3 companies. I was pretty set on attending MSC after conversations with my friends.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
Medical Sales College is a great way to break into the industry. It really gives you an upper hand on the other candidates, as well as provides you with knowledge from instructors who have been in the industry for years. Which is knowledge that you simply cannot get from other sources. The staff at MSC is extremely helpful during your time with them, as well as after.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
I think that the number one thing that helped me land my position was the ability to hold a conversation about different technologies, pathologies, and procedures.
