Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
I was a Biology major and Psychology minor at the University of Kentucky, actively involved in community service and with my sorority Alpha Delta Pi. I entered college on the pre-med track and realized that wasn?t the route that I wanted to take any longer as I lost interest in devoting so many years to school. I have been exposed to sales my entire life as my mom has been in pharma sales for years and when I came across medical sales college I was so excited because this industry would allow me to combine my interpersonal communication skills, my love for helping others and my interest in healthcare into my career.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I first knew that I wanted to get into the medical device sales industry my senior year of college. In high school I took every science course that was offered, and I entered college on the pre-med track. Around my junior year I started looking into dentistry and I realized that continuing my education after undergrad just wasn?t the route that I was wanting to take anymore. Growing up, I was exposed to the pharmaceutical sales world and that?s the initial route that I was taking when applying for positions. I knew that I loved building relationships and talking to people, I knew that I had a passion to help others and I knew that I was highly interested in the healthcare field. While job searching, I came across Medical Sales College and after taking the leap of faith, moving seven hours away from home to undergo this training and learning an immense amount of knowledge on the medical device sales industry my passion and eagerness was sparked even greater than before.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I knew a couple of girls who had graduated from Medical Sales College and after talking to them and completing the interview process for MSC I knew that this was the perfect route for me to take to break into the industry. I previously interviewed for pharmaceutical sales positions, but I was told time and time again to go get some sales experience for a year or two and then reach back out to them. I was determined to begin my career selling something that I was interested in and that I was passionate about and I can truly say that Medical Sales College opened several doors to interview opportunities within the industry. I would not be where I am today in my career and I would not have gotten the opportunity to begin my career in medical device sales had it not been from the experience that I gained at Medical Sales College.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I wanted to break into the industry and seeing the placement rates and hearing the success stories from people that I know, I knew that MSC was a great option for me. As a recent college graduate, I had no previous sales experience and a lot of companies were not even considering me because of my lack of experience. Medical Sales College definitely built a foundation of knowledge for me in the industry and the decision to attend definitely had impact on me getting the position that I am in today.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
My training experience at MSC was incredible. I have nothing but good things to say about my instructors Dr. Stephen Perns, Andrea Molinaro, Justin Steele, Tilden Register, and DC Hoffman. I learned an invaluable amount of knowledge that has definitely helped me as I have begun my career in the industry. As a graduate of MSC I felt that I was fully equipped to be a patient advocate and technical resource to the surgeon and that I was ready to hit the ground running.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
I think the most valuable information I learned from MSC was the experiences of others, the selling techniques and overall the anatomy, biomechanics and pathology.
