Tell me a little about your background.

I have a B.S. in Psychology and experience in sales. I?ve found that I excel in sales, so naturally I enjoy the sales process and I am fascinated with the technology behind Orthopedics.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

Medical Sales is a career that allows the opportunity to be involved with the exciting nature of the Operating Room. At first I thought this entire field was too good to be true, but I realized that when you are passionate about your career, the ?job? feels more like a calling than an actual job. I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to work in this field!

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Through Online Ads and seeing other former students on LinkedIn.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I witnessed many MSC students getting placed and when I asked former students about their experiences at MSC, they shared how valuable MSC was. I also realized that MSC students had a competitive edge when placed amongst their peers entering the field.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

MSC was much more challenging than I anticipated and I am thankful for that! I had no idea how complex and competitive orthopedics can be, my training at MSC helped me prepare for the most difficult and challenging scenarios while giving a realistic expectation of what was to come.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

If you are serious about getting into Medical Device Sales, your peers will be doing everything they can to get into the field as well. If you choose not to invest in your own education, the people that have chosen to attend MSC will likely have better odds of getting the job you are seeking. It can only help boost your knowledge base, understanding and odds of getting the job you want.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

I decided that I wanted to attend MSC before applying to Medical Device jobs, I did not want to leave a poor impression with recruiters and I wanted to start in the field with as much knowledge as possible.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

The interview process involved a few phone calls and in-person interviews. I ultimately landed the job by expressing my passion for the field and by consistently closing throughout the interview process.

What is your current job like?

Working in the field has been incredible! I have already witnessed a surgery and visited with a few patients and I absolutely love it!

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

I felt adequately prepared for attending MSC and the people at MSC have been so straightforward. I felt confident and equipped when I did start in the field, all of the details of being in the field come with time and experience.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

You have to be confident and competitive! If you lack energy in the interview process, you will not get the job. Also, know your products and use the features/benefits/values to sell your products!
