Tell me a little about your background.

I attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where I majored in Psychology.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

The exciting day to day life and the ability to have a positive impact on someone?s life.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Online.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I was eager to get into the industry and did not want to wait 2-3 years to gain sales experience to maybe get a job in the medical sales field.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

It was a lot of info. I loved Dr. Perns so much and I am so happy I had him as an instructor. He truly cares about everyone and the fact that he got us into the OR was HUGE! So many managers asked me if I had ever been in the OR and were surprised to hear when I said yes! They said its important before you apply to medical sales jobs to go and view a Iive surgery because some people can?t handle it so I am so happy I had this opportunity!

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

To learn!! There?s so much I learned that I am unsure how I would?ve entered Stryker and tried to learn the products and all the fine details of being a medical sales rep! If you?re looking to break into the industry then this is the perfect place to help you do that! A lot of companies I went on interviews with liked that I took a gamble on myself and attended the school.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

I tried to break into the industry for one year before attending MSC.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

I interviewed at Stryker for 4 months. I started with a phone interview with the recruiter, then a phone interview with my hiring manager, then an in person interview in Michigan, then I took the Gallup, then 4 ride alongs with 4 different sales reps, then another in person interview with the hiring manager, then a phone interview with HR, then I got an offer!

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

Nothing really, MSC did a great job informing us before we attending and in school what we were getting ourselves into!

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

The hiring manager was surprised with how much I already knew so I would say it was a mix of a lot of different material I learned.
