Tell me a little about your background.

I graduated from St. Edward's University with a major in Finance back in 2011. Since then, I've worked in hospitality, property management, and human capital management. I was raised playing team sports all the way through high school, and even have a black belt in Karate.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I was at a point in life where I needed to pursue a career that would not only challenge me, but also allow me to use the skills and knowledge I had already acquired throughout my young career. I knew several colleagues that were in the industry, and they all recommended that I give it a shot. They knew I was a very likable individual who was very persuasive and had great business acumen, which is exactly what you need in the industry. I did more research and knew this was something I'd be great at. It also allowed me to fill the void of wanting to give back to my community in some sort of way by being able to give these patients are better way of live through new technology.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I learned about MSC through MedReps.com and from Forums where people were trying to get insight on how to get into the industry.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I reached out to a family friend who once was a Medical Sales Rep who had heard about the course. She had interviewed a candidate from there and was very impressed on what they knew. She knew that it was new, but they impressed her and that was very hard to do. I attended two seminars that Jim Rogers and Scott Binder conducted, and I immediately knew that this was worth it.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

My experience was definitely unique in a sense that I had 5 different instructors to train me in 3 different fields. They all had different techniques on how to teach, but they all had amazing insight on how to tackle the training and ultimately wow future employers.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

MSC will give you the tools and insight on how to conduct yourself in the tough interviews and in the real work OR setting. It'll put you ahead of the curve opposed to someone who's applying and has no experience.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

Less than 6 months.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

The job interview process was very repetitive and tedious. Getting to Rounds 2-3 were quite simple, but the hard part was to convince someone to meet you face to face. Once I got there, then I was able to shine and show them my passion, knowledge, and drive for the position. Don't give up!

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

They give you the ins and outs of the industry that most people will never know going into a sales role in this industry. They provide real life examples on how to maneuver your way around surgeons and other OR staff that you normally wouldn't learn until you've been working for about 6 months. That put us ahead of the curve.
