Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I enjoy being in the OR and interacting with physicians.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Online searches.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

Failure to land or come close to landing a job within the 6 months I was looking.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

MSC and all its resources provide a great understanding of what a job in medical sales entails. For someone with no experience, the curriculum provides a great framework and general understanding of knowledge related to the program of choice.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

Less than 6 months.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

I was contacted by the sales manager and talked over the phone. I had a sit down meeting with the sales manager and then talked over the phone with members of the territory including the team leader. I shadowed all three members of the team during cases. Finally, I had a sit down meeting with the sales manager and team leader to explain a THA surgical technique using their stem. I was given a few days to prepare and learn their product before the meeting.

What is your current job like?

Right now I am following members of the team, being introduced to faculty and physicians, learning the facilities, learning physician preferences and techniques, studying products and procedures, learning instruments, and learning inventory and restocking requirements.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

General understanding of surgical procedures.
