Tell me a little about your background.

I am a recent college graduate who has been waiting tables for the past 8 years.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I have always known that I wanted a sales job. Having the opportunity to help patients as a job made the career decision an easy one.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Online.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

After graduating with my bachelor's degree, I spent about 6 months applying for medical sales jobs. After getting nowhere, I pulled the trigger and reached out to MSC with the intentions of making myself a desirable candidate to potential medical sales employers.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

My training experience was nothing short of amazing. After completing my training, I was not only able to successfully speak the language of a sales rep throughout my interviews, but I am also now going into my new sales role with confidence.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

If anyone is serious about getting into a medical sales career, MSC is a gateway to not only learn what it takes to be a part of the industry, but also go into interviews with the ability to speak like a sales rep. The industry can be a little overwhelming, but thanks to MSC I am going into my new sales role with the confidence that I will be more than capable to keep up with the learning curve ahead of me.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

About a year.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

My amazing recruiter, Jeremy Hoppe, put me in touch with a Globus Medical regional director who is the person I had my first interview with. Thanks to the advice I got from Scott Binder, I showed up to the interview with an elaborate business plan. Being prepared with a business plan really set me apart from other candidates. It showed the regional director that I was serious about the job and had done my homework to answer the question every candidate gets "why do you want to work for us?". My second interview was with the two reps I would be working underneath in addition to the regional manager. My final interview was with the VP of sales, the regional director, and the two reps I am going to be working with. My interview process was during the covid pandemic and was entirely conducted via zoom.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

Learning that you get what you put into the program really motivated me to apply myself and dedicate myself to the program which in return has made me successful. Listening and following through with all of the advice I received from my instructors is what really helped me obtain my dream job.
