Tell me a little about your background.

Born and raised in Houston, TX and after graduating Louisiana State University (2013) I spent my first six years of professional employment selling drilling equipment in the Oil & Gas industry. It was a fantastic experience that assisted me in breaking into sales. I was unfortunately laid off in Jan. 2020 and decided to get out of this volatile industry. Medical seemed like a natural fit as it does not see massive lows like O&G. Having sales experience, I now needed medical knowledge and Medical Sales College provided me that.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

Medical Sales would give me the ability to help people in need, grow my career and provide me with financial stability.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Social Media

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

The knowledge and guidance that Medical Sales College would provide. Hearing and learning firsthand from former reps and managers is what I believed would give me the upper hand over other candidates. MSC proved to be that and more.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

Due to the circumstances with COVID-19 my class and I were forced to go to an online format. All things considered the instructors did a fantastic job in giving us as much of the full experience as possible.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Medical Sales College gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed to get my career started in the medical industry. The entire staff at MSC has a genuine desire for the student to succeed and I would openly recommend anybody with a "want" to get into medical device that MSC is the place to begin their journey.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

Less than 6 months

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

Medex Surgical and I had a total of 7 interviews. It was a stressful, but enjoyable process. They absolutely did their due-diligence. The 1st was a "get to know you", 2nd was a mock sales call, 3rd was another phone call with a sales rep, 4th was an in person interview with the manager, 5th was an in person interview with a sales rep, 6th was another mock sales call and finally the 7th was a "why should we hire you".

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

How strenuous the training at MSC actually is.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

How to interview!
