Tell me a little about your background.

I was a biology and marketing major, while also being a student-athlete at Le Moyne College. I always had a strong interest in the medical field.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I decided to pursue medical sales because I wanted a job that would combine my interest in science with my relationship-building skills. I have always had an interest in helping others and in this career, I am able to make an impact on the patient's lives. I also enjoy how there is no cap on the amount of money you can make; the effort you put into this job will translate to money in your pocket.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

My cousin went to Medical Sales College.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I attended Medical Sales College because I wanted to gain more knowledge about the industry. I had a hard time breaking into the industry and thought this was the best way to start.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

The training at Medical Sales College was amazing. It helped me feel more comfortable and confident to break into the industry. It was hard work, but it was very worth it.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Someone should attend Medical Sales College because it equips you with the necessary skills to succeed in the medical sales industry. Medical Sales College helps you become more knowledgeable in anatomy, products, companies, presentations, and interview skills. It is a great first step for someone who is looking to break into the industry.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

Less than 6 months.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

I had many interviews with many different jobs. I applied for a ton of jobs and had interviews multiple times each week. For the job I landed, I made a connection with a person who was an alumni from my college and he passed a rep's name along to me. Once I contacted the rep I asked him if we could meet as soon as possible, since I had another offer on the table. I met him at a Panera Bread and we had a very detailed interview. We discussed anatomy, products, and sales strategies. Three days later I landed the job.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

I wish I knew that it was better to start connecting with people on Linkedin as soon as possible.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

At Medical Sales College I learned how to make connections. Connections do not always lead to job opportunities, however, the more people you meet and connect with the more opportunities you will have. These connections are extremely important and can help you not only in the present but also in the future.
