Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
I graduated in December 2019 from Texas Tech and worked in sales for the Houston Rockets for 6 months before attending MSC.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I became interested in medical sales after learning how lucrative and stable the career can be while also getting to be part of the excitement in the OR without having to go to medical school. I also get the chance to utilize my passion for relationship building
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I saw that a Stryker Trauma Associate had MSC in her background, so I started researching and reading about MSC online.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
My sales job with the Rockets was very stagnant, especially during COVID. I figured that MSC was the better step forward into landing a career in medical device sales during this time.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
My training at MSC was a lot of fun. I admit that I was the class clown, but I took things seriously when needed. I made sure that we always had fun during the long hours throughout the week. My dynamic with my orthopaedic reconstruction trainer was amazing.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
Less than 6 months.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
I was I had known to network the whole time. Don't start networking with people when class is over.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
The most valuable thing I learned from MSC was networking with the teachers along with the presentations. My presentations are what made me stick out to the class. While others were gaining knowledge through the material, I was active on LinkedIn and getting advice from instructors. If my trainer didn't put in a good word to a Zimmer rep for me, I wouldn't have landed the job.
