Tell me a little about your background.

I was a recent graduate from Michigan State University in the Spring of 2020. While graduating in the middle of a pandemic, I decided it was best to gain more understanding and knowledge of the medical device field because it is extremely hard to find a job in this industry.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

My mother is in the medical field and my father is in sales. Learning about being able to help others while being extremely competitive is where I found my passion.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I was referred to Medical Sales College by a graduate.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I decided to attend because I wanted to gain a better understanding of the industry.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

I had an amazing experience at Medical Sales College! The instructors were very helpful and extremely hands on. Being able to conduct mock surgeries was my favorite part! We had a chance to fully understand what it is like to be in a highly stressed environment while working in the operating room.

Describe your Career Development training experience.

The career development training was very helpful!

Being a recent college graduate, how did MSC help you to prepare to enter the professional workforce?

Medical Sales College helped prepare me in so many ways. They helped me gain an understanding of the surgical techniques and many other areas of the field that I would have never been able to learn on my own. The instructors were very hands on and helped us learn from their own mistakes with many stories.

What made you choose to invest in more education by attending MSC after just recently graduating college?

While graduating from college in the middle of the COVID pandemic, I thought it was the best opportunity I had to get into the medical device field!

How did placement services help accelerate your entry into the medical device sales industry?

The Placement Services were extremely helpful in sending out my information to thousands of employers. My video helped me stand out and secure a job! My Career Development Coordinator was so helpful, always calling to check in and see if i needed any advice! She was truly a rockstar!

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

It was so beneficial to gain the knowledge and understanding that we did. I would have never secured my dream job with basic knowledge of the field. I am now able to hold intelligent conversations with territory reps and understand everything they are talking about. I would have never been able to do this prior to attending Medical Sales College.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

I had to go through three phone interviews, and then followed up with two FaceTime interviews. After I passed these, I had to take the Gallup test. After I passed the Gallup, I had a final interview and the was offered a job on the spot!

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

The most valuable piece of information I learned was to never be down on myself when I receive a "no." It is the the "yes" that I will eventually receive that will keep pushing me forward.
