Tell me a little about your background.

I was an engineering major in college and worked on an oil field as engineer for four years. I was also a skydiving instructor for three years.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I am interested in both sales and medicine.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I learned about MSC on Google.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I ultimately decided to attend because of their high job placement rate for graduates.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

My training experience at Medical Sales College was very helpful. It gave me a strong advantage over other candidates during the interview process and helped me feel prepared for the role I landed.

How did your MSC training help you transition from a different industry into the fast-paced, high-stakes nature of medical device sales?

My training at Medical Sales College gave me realistic expectations on the industry and prepared me for the technicalities of it.

How did the training at MSC prepare you for the clinical complexities in this type of sales role?

The training of advanced procedures was very thorough. I feel very prepared to being working in this industry.

How did placement services help accelerate your entry into the medical device sales industry?

They were very responsive and helpful with interview preparation. They provided resources that were extremely helpful! Although I did not end up taking the job, it was placement services who originally put me in touch with Arthrex for an interview.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Someone should attend Medical Sales College because it greatly increases your chances of getting in front of a hiring manager, and gives you an advantage for the technical aspects of the interview. In addition, the training gives you confidence that you will not be lost during the first trip to the operating room.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

I applied for the position online and contacted as many team members as I could via LinkedIn. The hiring manager contacted me to schedule an interview, which led to me taking the Gallup. After passing the Gallup, I completed a case study with the hiring manager. I had my final interview with the U.S. Director of Sales before I was offered the job.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

You have to make things happen for yourself! You have to be the one to network, be persistent, and follow up.
