Tell me a little about your background.

I graduated from Ole Miss with a major in Integrated Marketing Communications. Because I graduated during the pandemic, I was a little uncertain of what career path I wanted to head down. After a lot of research and connecting with other graduates, I decided to attend Medical Sales College.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

After graduating from college, I knew I wanted to use my outgoing, driven personality and passion for helping others. I spoke with a few family friends who were currently medical sales reps, and what they said about their career directly aligned with what I had envisioned for myself. The medical sales industry is one where I know I will flourish and be successful.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

LinkedIn.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I had no prior sales experience, but I spoke with previous graduates who reaffirmed my belief that MSC could be my foot in the door and the next step to break into the medical device sales industry.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

My training took a lot of hard work, but it was extremely rewarding and so much fun. I made so many close friends through my time there. MSC taught me that persistence is key to persevering.

Describe your experience with Dynamic Consultative Sales training.

The Dynamic Consultative Sales training was extremely helpful when preparing for real-life situations as a rep. The instructors did a great job of role-playing with us and sharing advice on how to succeed.

Being a recent college graduate, how did MSC help you to prepare to enter the professional workforce?

MSC definitely provided me with a foot in the door to medical device sales connecting me with so many people. I would be so much further behind trying to break into the industry without prior sales experience if I hadn't attended MSC. I think attending the program set me apart in my interviews.

What made you choose to invest in more education by attending MSC after just recently graduating college?

After hearing the testimonials of previous MSC graduates, I knew the investment was worth it.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Someone should attend MSC to gain valuable information and the knowledge needed to break into the industry. Especially those with no previous sales experience.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

I didn't try prior to attending MSC.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

I reached out to an industry contact I got from an instructor. He sent my info to a rep he knew, who then contacted me to schedule a call. After the call, he sent me an invite for a HireVue interview. A while passed, and after following up many times, he scheduled a zoom interview. He then scheduled an interview where I presented my 6-month business plan in the role. A couple of days later he called to offer me the job.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

The most valuable thing I learned at MSC is always be prepared. Always have a plan a, b, c, d, e, etc. That and learning how to read the room and adapt to the situation.
