Student Testimonials
Tell me a little about your background.
I have a Bachelor of arts degree from Augustana College with a major in biology. I graduated in May of 2018 from Augustana then attended MSC in August of 2018. Therefore, I have very little work history and none of it has to do with medical sales, sales, or the medical field. I have worked at a lawn company throughout high school and college. I have also had a few jobs at my college.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
Medicals sales requires a lot of communication with multiple types of people and I believe that with a liberal arts degree, which required me to take classes outside my major, it has prepared me to be able to connect and communicate with many different kinds of people. I also believe that medical sales requires a lot of hard work and determination not to give up. My background in competitive tumbling and other sports is what leads me to believe I would be perfect for this type of work. I have always strived to outshine my competitors and also my past performances. I always have wanted to be the best and improve on everything I do even if its just bettering my own ?score?.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I looked online at what I could do with a biology degree and I found MSC.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
After researching about MSC I was able to speak to a few different people at the college and who work with the college. These people furthered my interest in the college and completely convinced/reassured me that I would be a perfect fit in this industry.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
MSC was a very well-rounded training experience. They started at the beginning by giving us the basics on how the body heals and what we would need to know for the hospital and OR settings. They then when into very deep detail of the specialty in which you choose. This included x-ray reading, disease/disorders that relate, implants that can be used, how they are used, how they heal the body, and how to present these products to individuals we would be selling them to. We then ended the studies by being prepared on how to interview, sell, and promote ourselves as the best sales person we were trained to be by MSC and our past experiences.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
Medical sales applications, resumes, and interviews are much different than most other careers/jobs and I believe that MSC prepared me to be successful in the process of procuring interviews and being successful during the interviews.
