Tell me a little about your background.

I earned a Bachelor?s degree in Pre-Physical Therapy from Ohio University. Prior to that, I
played collegiate football and served as an athletic training assistant for a small school. In the
summer, I served as a pharmacy technician for CVS to gain experience in a medical setting.
However, I failed to earn a single interview in the medical sales industry before I attended
MSC. I graduated college and then attended the MSC one week later because I was determined
to break into the industry.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

My interest in the industry stems from my highly competitive personality. I initially was in
school to become a Physical Therapist, however, decided to enter medical sales to allow my
competitive nature to help me excel.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I first learned about the Medical Sales College from a current sales representative at DePuy
Synthes.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I decided to enroll after doing a good amount of research on the school and speaking to a
former student that I was put into contact with.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

My experience at the Medical Sales College was very positive. The information was presented
in a manner that was easy to understand and the instructors want each student to be
successful. The material was also relevant and helped me numerous times during my
interview process.

What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?

The interview skills we learned from Scott Binder, combined with the knowledge of the
procedures allowed me to succeed in my interviews.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

I can confidently say that without MSC I would not have been able to start a career in the medical sales industry.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

I attempted to enter the industry for the last two years of my undergrad. In the summer going
into my senior year I was unsuccessful in earning an internship with a medical sales company.
Then, as I neared graduation, I applied for countless medical sales openings and did not get a
single interview.

Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?

I was very hesitant to commit to the Medical Sales College. The investment of time and money
is large and the placement rate seemed almost too good to be true.

Explain what your interview process was like.

My interview process was very busy and hectic. After my recruiting profile went live I
immediately started receiving interest from a number of the best orthopedic companies. In
one week I had a total of six interviews scheduled and received an offer from Smith&Nephew
that Friday. The skills I learned from the Medical Sales College allowed me to excel in every
single interview I had.

What is your current job like?

I have not yet started my current job but I am very excited to begin.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

I now know how prepared you have to be at all times in the industry. Whether it be for an
interview, an in-service, or a surgery, you must be prepared for anything and everything.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

The most valuable thing I took away from MSC was understanding the amount of time and
effort that is required to be successful. They do not sugar coat anything at the school because
the field is highly competitive. Only the best and most hungry reps will be successful.
