Tell me a little about your background.

Got a BS in Biology, worked for a few years as a nursing tech.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I was exposed to the sales rep career while I was working as a nursing tech in the operating room. They all seemed to enjoy their jobs and got to do different things everyday. Plus you can earn a really good living.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I was looking for a way to avoid having at least two years of B2B sales, but still be prepared to go into the field. Found MSC while Googling "how to become a medical devices salesman."

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I had no sales experience. I felt this was going to be a way to prepare myself for the job without taking a sales job in a different field.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

My experience in Biologics and Extremities was top notch. Each teacher was competent in their field and good at teaching. I am very happy to have landed a job in extremities.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

I would not have been able to get a job as a medical device sales rep without going to MSC.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

Less than 6 months

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

It was during the peak of COVID. I was randomly reaching out to people on LinkedIn who were in my desired area. My boss really liked how I was going about things. We had a casual phone call, which at the end he said he was going to be looking to hire someone in about a month. A month later HE reached back out to me. After going back and forth a bit we set up a time to meet in person. We had a two hour conversation in a parking lot, not really an interview. At the end of it he extended me an offer. I was blown away. Couldn't believe I didn't have to do more. I got lucky.

What is your current job like?

Currently going through product training. Out of 12 reps in my training, 3 of us came from MSC. P28 feels like a really good company to work for.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

This is a silly question. I wish I knew everything I learned at MSC before I went so I wouldn't have had to pay all that money. But it was an investment I needed to make if I wanted to get a job in this industry.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

MSC gave me a great foundation to build off from. I learned a lot in a short period of time that made me hirable. I would not have been able to break into the industry without the professional coaching. I learned how to market myself.
