Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
I recently graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Sociology. During my time at Vanderbilt, I was a varsity baseball player and participated in several outside organizations. I completed a sales internship during my senior year with a local company in Nashville which led to my interest in sales. With my family having experience in hospitals, I wanted to combine both sales and medicine while also living comfortably in the future.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I shadowed a former teammate of mine at Vanderbilt who works as a spine representative at Stryker. I loved the environment of being in the OR and communicating with surgeons and their team members. This led into me applying to MSC so I could gain a proper foundation of the industry and a "leg-up" on entry level representatives.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
Social media.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I attended MSC because I wanted to create a baseline of knowledge that would ultimately allow me to have a much smoother transition into the industry.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

I didn't try prior to attending MSC.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
Everything! I was clueless prior to MSC. In interviews after graduating from MSC, hiring managers looked at me like I had experience in the industry. I was able to speak to hiring managers at a high enough level to grab their attention and close them.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
The most valuable information I learned attending MSC was about the interviewing process and how to crush an interview.
