Tell me a little about your background.

UCF graduate with a major in health sciences and minor in health admin that was interested in physical therapy, but after over 120 hours of shadowing, decided it wasn?t the place for me. I discovered that I would not have the passion and drive to get up every day and love what I do in this career field, which then led me to pursue an opportunity in the medical device sales industry.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

Sales and health care were my true passion and this industry gave me the chance to tackle both.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Friend and MSC graduate.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

It truly is the best way to get your foot into the industry. Every medical device sales position out there is looking for a minimum of 2 years in medical device sales, so it can be very difficult to separate yourself from the rest of the applicants (especially if you have zero experience).

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

The online portion gave you a little taste of what to expect from the rest of the program.

What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?

Being able to understand the surgical techniques accurately was huge and the main reason I believe I got the position.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Not only does MSC prepare you for the industry, but it prepares you to be successful in the industry long term.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

I attempted to get into the industry on my own for about 1 month and got nowhere and it was quite frustrating.

Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?

No, after doing some research and talking to people about MSC I felt very confident in their program and that I would excel in the environment.

Explain what your interview process was like.

Very in depth. After going over the basics such as my personality and so forth, we had a conversation about the industry. This included trends, OR protocol, what the rep actually does, specific products and sales technique. At the end he gave me 30 minutes to look over 3 different products? surgical techniques and then present on each one.
