Tell me a little about your background.
Born & raised in Dubuque, IA. Attended Clarke University, graduating with Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training. Relocated to Scottsdale, AZ in July 2016 with my loving fiancée. I am an avid supporter of University of Iowa & Chicago professional sports teams, and enjoy competing in recreational sports when I can?t be outdoors.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
After watching my first surgery, I loved the atmosphere and experience of being in the OR. I desperately wanted to find a career that would allow me to continue observing orthopedic surgeries, yet allow me to utilize my clinical knowledge as a certified athletic trainer. Medical device sales provided the perfect solution to my situation.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
Online. Applied, interviewed and was accepted, & was the best investment I ever made.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I spoke with former students who insisted I would not regret my decision to attend, IF, and only if, I truly wanted to do medical sales. It was the best advice I could have received.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
The information itself was very thorough, instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, and the learning was fun and intriguing.
What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
The ability to plan ahead and understand products in their entirety. It was crucial to not only know products & procedures but ?speak the language of each companies? technology.?
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
If you have exercised every avenue possible without any luck, and truly want to become a medical sales representative, this is the best option for you.
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
I attempted breaking into the medical sales industry for nearly 3 months without a hint of interest from any companies I pursued. It was incredibly difficult to even get an interview, and frustrating because I felt I could not enhance my resume anymore to improve my candidacy.
Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?
Yes, it was a fairly large investment for me at the time and forced my fiancée and I to live off of one income for an extended period of time, which made us uncomfortable. I was scared MSC would not provide me with enough knowledge & experience to make my investment worthwhile.
Explain what your interview process was like.
I interviewed with an administrator who tested my knowledge of the industry & reaffirmed my decision to pursue medical sales.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
Product technology. Ability to interpret the information provided for product. Understanding specific features and how they differentiate themselves from other products.
