Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
I really enjoyed it, my class was great and I really enjoyed the instructors and overall feel of the experience.
What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
Business plan
General knowledge on prepping for and delivering in an interview. General knowledge on the industry and how it works. The hiring manager grilled my #*@ pretty good.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
Overall cost-benefit (ie Bang for your Buck) of the program and experience was well worth it for me. Their programs give you a better understanding of the industry and make you more marketable than those w/ out the experience. The rep I work with specifically said they like hiring MSC grads because they have some background knowledge and aren?t completely ?green?.
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
After graduating, it took me 11 business days to get a job offer. They were the second most 11 stressful days of my life.
Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?
Yes, the legitimacy of the school and how it?s perceived by employers. Was it going to be worth the $?
Explain what your interview process was like.
Stressful but insightful as well.
1) Interviewed w/ Stryker, didn?t get a second interview.
2) Interviewed with Nuvasive. Looked like an ass as I have no spine knowledge and he came at me with a bunch of technical spine questions I had no answers for.
3) Was contacted through ZeroFee recruiting by Quintile/DePuy Synthes. Spoke with their recruiter, interviewed 48 hours later. One FTF interview only, was offered the job with DePuy 3 days later.
What is your current job like?
Great! Intense! Fun!
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
Anatomy! Fracture types, general hospital setting knowledge. How to conduct yourself in the OR. I also learned a lot from my fellow students, particularly post-graduation as we all searched for employment and shared experiences.
