Tell me a little about your background.

Upon graduating from FSU I took a job opportunity with 4Web for a year until I ultimately worked for MSC and eventually enrolled in their program personally.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I have grown up around the industry all my life. My mother was a chiropractor and father has been a rep and owned his own distributorship. I love the competitive nature of selling and there is not a more competitive field than medical device sales.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I learned about MSC through job searches on MedReps.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

Talking to my father and other contacts got me interested in attending and I was at the point in my career that I felt the time was right.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

It was difficult but engaging and allowed me to learn about everything I could.

What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?

My confidence in the knowledge I gained about procedural techniques and terminology.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Someone should attend MSC if they desire to gain knowledge and comfort with medical terminology and procedural knowledge. In addition to the training, their hundreds of connections upon completion of the program will help with job placement.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

I was able to get a position within the medical industry right out of college but was not able to truly transition to the medical device sales role. It took me about a year and a half until I was able to make the jump to medical sales.

Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?

My only hesitations about attending the school was my ability to finally make that jump into medical device sales after completion of the program.

Explain what your interview process was like.

I had a total of 6 different phone calls with multiple regional managers which concluded with a shadowing of a sales rep and eventual offer.

What is your current job like?

It is an amazing opportunity and I love the ability to finally do what I have a passion for. I am in cases all day working with surgeons to help make peoples lives better.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

The terminology and procedural knowledge was the most valuable thing I gained from the program. These skills allowed me to feel more comfortable in the hospital and OR settings and excel in my position.
