Tell me a little about your background.

I graduated from Georgia Southern University in May of 2017 with a Bachelor?s degree in Science. There I majored in exercise science and minored in psychology; in addition, was a student athlete, a member of Alpha Delta Pi, and NHS. I proceeded to attend MSC in July in hopes of entering the medical device sales industry.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

Combining my passion for helping others, being competitive, being active, and anatomy together all in one career. I had the opportunity to observed and shadow medical device representatives before entering the field which was my initial interest drawing.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Word of mouth.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

Thinking it was the best option to get my foot in the door and hired by a great company.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

The instructors were amazing at teaching and guiding you through the whole training course. To also have others in my class that supported one another was influential.

What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?

Everything- the business plan we created while there and also the knowledge I gained from getting trained at MSC.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

If they want to get hired in the industry they should go to MSC- at every single interview I had the interviewee admired the fact I spent time to learn at the school and respected MSC.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

No I did not. I was extremely excited to start my after college future especially in Colorado at Medical Sales College learning about what I wanted to do.

Explain what your interview process was like.

My interview process took place with multiple companies trying to right the right fit for me and vice versa. My interview process with Smith & Nephew took a total of seven weeks before I got a verbal offer.

What is your current job like?

I am an associate sales representative assisting my team in daily tasks.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

Honestly, nothing- MSC prepared me well for this job.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

The information the instructors teach you that you cannot study or find in a textbook- tips and tricks on how to be an asset to your team, hospital navigation, OR protocol, relationship building, DCS, etc. the list goes on.
