Tell me a little about your background.

I have advanced degrees in biology and worked for several years in biomedical research, but I have no sales background.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I wanted a career that would be important clinically and allow me to spend time in the OR, but also something that?s fast-paced and competitive.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

My experience at MSC was great. I had a general idea about the industry, but I had so much more to learn than I previously thought. I can?t imagine starting a medical device sales job without the information and experience provided at MSC.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

I think MSC is perfect for those with either clinical experience or B2B sales experience, but lack both.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

Approximately three months.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

I had face-to-face interviews with four different companies, and made it to a final selection with three of them. Most companies involved 3-4 separate meetings and some travel to multiple locations.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

Be ready for a long but rewarding process.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

Be very prepared for face-to-face interviews. Several interviewers were very impressed with the amount of research I did on their company and products.
