Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
Came from strong mechanical background in working hands on with many varieties of ?technologies? in many different applications.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
Medical Sales is a culmination of everything I am interested in, between working within the medical field, interacting daily with professional teams, and demonstrating/introducing new technologies and their techniques/indications.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
Online searches regarding the medical device industry.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
MSC has a great track record of success stories, and gives anyone willing to put in the effort the opportunity to break into the medical device industry.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
Wide open, having coming from absolutely no medical background, the program really hit the ground running. However at no point did it seem un-doable or over the top due to great instructors such as Ms. Rebecca Camp.
What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
The fact is that most people transitions into the medical device industry come from a sales background, and have no anatomical knowledge let alone a knowledge in devices in depth enough to ?Wow? interviewers. Having a genuinely strong foundation of the industry I feel is enough in itself to set a candidate aside from others.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
Medical Sales College was the first place I looked ? and am glad I took that route.
Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?
My fears were placement rate to non-college graduates, such as myself.
Explain what your interview process was like.
Long and disheartening at first, had a lot of people inquire about myself, but once they found out about my lack of college degree it was a deterrent in landing a face to face interview. That being said, I was hired by the first company I had a face to face interview with.
What is your current job like?
Busy. And everything I expected, I wouldn?t change a thing about my role.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
I?ve learned you?ve got to be on your toes listening to what the doctor is setting in regard to screw size/plate size etc. Those details can be hard to keep up with if you aren?t taking notes constantly!
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
We learned too much at MSC to narrow one thing down, but being able to give an in depth and articulate in-service I have found invaluable, particularly with newer or unfamiliar scrub techs.
