Tell me a little about your background.

A two-year high school varsity football player, I dreamed of someday playing college football. After recruiting trips and narrowing down my options, I committed to Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. Spending the next two years studying Bible and Ministry, as well as winning a conference championship on the winningest team in program history, was a dream come true! However, my journey took an unexpected turn. After working a door-to-door sales internship in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania during the summer of 2017, I decided to finish my undergraduate degree at Penn State University. Over the next two years, I hung up my football cleats and studied Strategic Communications, then graduating in December of 2019. Fast forward a few months and I become a Spine and Orthopaedic Reconstruction & Trauma student at the Medical Sales College in Charlotte, NC!

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

April 12th, 2019 is why I decided to pursue a career in medical sales. On this date, I received a cardiac pacemaker device. Just weeks prior, my heart had ceased beating for roughly 30 seconds during a monitored cardiac test. Naturally, this prompted a deep concern for my health and future as a young college guy. Clint, the pacemaker company's clinical specialist, aka sales representative, told me I had a new calling in life. He encouraged me to consider a career in medical device sales, specifically within the surgical field.
Using my common sense, I saw this was an absolute no brainer! Now over a year later, my pacemaker is working wonders and has led me to securing a job within this rewarding industry!

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Simple...Google! Anyone and everyone willing to search for "medical sales" on Google should stumble upon this College. Thankfully, I did!

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

A personal circumstance of mine regarding future plans with my incredibly special girlfriend, Lauren, led to enrollment in March of 2020. Time was on my side, so there was no need to rush into a life-changing career unprepared and uneducated. If I truly wanted to start a new chapter of my life in medical sales, tossing out my resume like a hail mary on fourth and long was NOT the logistical approach to succeed. Rather, I decided to attend for the sake of "well-coached players win well-deserved championships!" To win the game
and stand out among other candidates, Medical Sales College was THE BEST decision I made! So if you're reading this today, then you're certainly interested...commit! Make it happen! Apply, and your future will
never be the same!

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

From mid-March to early June, our class of fifteen students embraced the challenges of studying during a global pandemic. Our timing was unreal, as we spent practically the entire program online and in a virtual setting. Sure, I think we all agreed the absence of hands on lab time and face-to-face interaction was a setback; however, the quality of teaching remained unphased! Steve, Theresa, Andrea, Jessica, Malcolm, Brian, and Scott all contributed their excellent knowledge without skipping a beat. Each week was different
from the last, and I learned to always expect the unexpected. This industry has no two similar days, so stay light on your feet and quick on your thinking! We were tested. We were pushed. Quite frankly, we spent more days than not uncomfortable and wondering if we had what it takes. It was the training experience of a lifetime, and one filled with constant new insight. Describe my training experience in one word? Golden!

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

Less than 6 months
