Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
In college I was an Integrative Physiology Major with a Business Minor intending to attend Dental School. After undergrad I decided I did not want to pursue dentistry and switched my focus directly to medical sales. I wanted to stay in the medical industry. I pursued a few sales jobs and ultimately decided to expedite my career timeline and attend MSC.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
Anatomy and Physiology, along with business, is my entire background. I enjoyed serving people in college and wanted to continue to do so after college as well. This career allows me to potentially serve patients and alter their lives which is extremely gratifying for me.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I learned about medical sales college from a friend who also attended the school.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I wanted to expedite my career timeline.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
The class was split into different weeks and sections. It was organized which I really enjoyed. I am an extremely organized person so it was nice in that respect.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
Not long at all. I had spoken to friends in the industry and knew I needed at least 1-2 years of sales experience before I would even be given a chance no matter my entire background in anatomy and physiology.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
The industry still seems to be a lot about who you know rather than what you know. Networking is extremely important. I also found it disappointing applying for online applications to find out they had already been filled.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
NETWORKING is the most important part. Being knowledgeable is great for when you do network but without networking you aren?t landing a position.
