Tell me a little about your background.

During my undergrad, I went to the University of Iowa for Biochemistry.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I've always been extremely interested in the medical field and I was originally pursuing a career as a surgeon. When I decided that career was no longer for me, I began looking into medical sales.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Online.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I decided to attend MSC after a bunch of research about the program and a botched interview. I completely bombed an interview with Medtronic and realized I needed to be more knowledgeable to be competitive during the interview process.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

I thoroughly enjoyed the training at MSC and thought that the program was extremely useful/knowledgeable.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

People should definitely consider attending MSC for the extremely vast amount of knowledge it provides. Not only do you learn the technical information that is crucial for someone to know as a medical sales rep, but you also get to learn all of the things that made the instructors successful in the past. I personally believe that information is priceless and will help the progression of all our careers exponentially because we were provided so many mentors by attending MSC.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

About a year.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

It was rather challenging with some extremely long and stressful interviews. I had to learn that rejection was a part of the process. However, when you do land a position it makes it so much more rewarding because you had to grind for it.

What is your current job like?

I think it's amazing. I love being in the OR and can't wait to get there every day.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

The most valuable thing I learned was about interview prep and what it means to be a medical sales rep. Having the benefit of knowing the direct experience from the instructors was a huge advantage during the interview process.
