Tell me a little about your background.

Based on years of dedication, I built a reputation for knowing how to provide solutions to individuals in the areas of insurance and retirement planning, focusing predominantly on long-term care products. As a Regional Vice President and Wholesaler, I have a proven track record in leadership training, account growth, meeting and exceeding sales goals, and increasing profit.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I wanted a position that I could serve and help people. This is a growing industry because people are living longer, and when people live there will always be a need for procedures to help them live an even longer and better life.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Through networking. I had trouble getting that initial interview because I had sales experience, but hiring managers wanted clinical experience too. One of my contacts recommended MSC and I reached out and enrolled in the first Houston class.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

To get that baseline foundation of clinical experience. It?s a different world and a different language than what I was used to. It can be hard coming into the industry without have that basic knowledge. For me, it really helped me get ahead on the massive learning curve that comes with the industry.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

For about a year

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

It took a lot of networking and preparation. MSC gave me the tools to make contacts and initiate conversations. I had to get out and stir up the activity, but it was worth it as I was hired within the first month after graduation.

What is your current job like?

I started on October 1st and it?s been a lot of independent study and case coverage. Nothing is more exciting than being prepared and able to help in the operating room.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

How to prepare for an interview and getting the foundation of anatomy and procedures.
