Tell me a little about your background.

Played football at University of Delaware, graduated in June 2019.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I have a history of sports-related knee operations throughout college.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Through a sales rep in the industry.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

Seemed legitimate and like it would give me a strong base as I enter the industry.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

It gave me a good baseline and detailed insight into the industry.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

I tried for a couple of months.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

Connected with a rep I?ve been friends with since grade school, he got me in touch with his Regional Sales Manager, met for a formal interview with him, then met 3 team members separately. I took the Gallup assessment, met with the regional manager and 4 team members again, then an offer was extended.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

I wish this program taught me more about the sales aspect of the job. Thankfully the week of sales training with Tom was fantastic, and allowed me to speak in a knowledgeable fashion in my interview with Stryker Spine. It was difficult and uncomfortable, but I strongly believe this was the most realistic and applicable aspect of the program. More of a focus on that would, in my opinion, better prepare students going through this program to be placed.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

Sales training with Tom Lee. I think the program should consist of far more of relationship-based selling than the technical aspect, as that was the most helpful for me.
