Tell me a little about your background.

I graduated from William Paterson University with a degree in Exercise Science. I have an extensive background (10 years) in physical therapy and healthcare as I was originally pursing a doctorate in physical therapy. I have a very competitive personality paired with entrepreneur tendencies which ultimately led me to medical sales.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I love a career that involves a competitive edge and a business aspect. Additionally, there is always something new and exciting happening in the industry, which makes it an exciting career to have.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

As I was networking with people prior to MSC, I met a former student who introduced me to the program.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I had gotten numerous interviews and had done a lot of networking on my own, however, it seemed that I was never a competitive enough applicant to move forward with a company. I chose MSC to ultimately make me a more competitive applicant and additionally, to show that I will invest in myself to succeed.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

MSC ultimately got me recognized in the field and gave me the opportunity to be a more competitive applicant and land multiple offers.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

1.5 years

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

Orthofix - This process was pretty standard as far as meeting with a manager to discuss the position, meeting the president of the company and doing a ride along. There were no trick questions or additional meeting that had to take place before I got an offer. Stryker - This process was a little more in depth. Two phone interviews, the Gallup interview, multiple in person meetings with several people throughout the company and finally, a product presentation. Bioventus and Isto Biologics ? The interview process for these companies were equivalent to Orthofix. Very laid back, standard questions and meetings.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

I have taken a lot of information with me from the program, however, what I value the most is the confidence I have gained by stepping out of my comfort zone performing mock in services and presentations. Being able to stand in front of a classroom and speak on a product that you have little knowledge about made me specifically gain a new found confidence when it came to speaking with a manager or director during an interview process.
