Tell me a little about your background.

I graduated in May of 2019 from Miami University with a B.S. in Kinesiology.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I was interested after I graduated because my mom was in healthcare and lead me to research the field itself.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Through mutual friends.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

My training experience was unique because it was cut short because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, while down in Charlotte I had the opportunity to work alongside my peers who were just as driven as I was to begin a career in this field. This enthusiastic classroom setting along with the dedicated instructors who genuinely cared about us being prepared for our first steps in the field made for a very challenging, and rewarding atmosphere.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Medical Sales College gives students every opportunity to prepare themselves to "break into" the medical device field. Intensive, focused training taught by instructors who truly care about the education of the students and a competitive atmosphere within the classroom help to develop the baseline skills necessary to sell yourself to a future employer.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

Less than 6 months

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

Because of the pandemic my process consisted mostly of virtual interviews with the team leads of the distributorship. Eventually, after the third round of interviews I drove to the home office and met with the owner of the distributorship and returned a week later to meet with the territory manager and other rep that I would be working alongside if I were to get the job.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

I learned that it is okay to not know the answer to something on the first day of the job. I was also multiple OR like situation questions during interviews that related to not knowing the answer to a doctors question and having that knowledge made me feel comfortable in answering those.
