Tell me a little about your background.
I am a registered Sonographer and then I went to Medical Sales College to get into the medical sales industry.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
The change of pace / lifestyle. I wanted a higher ceiling and more responsibility.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I wanted to create my own opportunity and unique background to better myself professionally.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
It was very informative and helped me prepare myself for the medical sales industry. I learned how to create a CHUTE sales pitch, how to profile surgeons, products and companies, the ins and outs of orthopedic surgeries and the staff.
What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
I learned how to present a product. The business plan helped me tremendously during the interview process. I was able to show my commitment to being proactive and prepared.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
Over a year. It was tough, it?s very hard to get into the medical sales industry.
Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?
Yes, not being able to find a job once I was done with the program.
Explain what your interview process was like.
I had a lot of interviews, mainly with recruiters and a few hiring managers. I would interview with a recruiter, then the hiring manager, and then a face to face with pertinent people on the team.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
How to interview the right way. I wish we spent more time on interviewing than we did on certain products. Interviewing and selling yourself was the biggest obstacle I had during the hiring process.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
The most valuable thing I learned from Medical Sales College was how to approach a surgeon and how to get their attention.
