Tell me a little about your background.

Before MSC, I was in the health and fitness industry for nearly a decade. I worked as a trainer helping others achieve their fitness goals.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I had open heart surgery when I was a kid and the doctors used medical devices for my surgery. Once I got older, I knew this industry was the best fit for me.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Online search.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I tried breaking into the industry for months with no luck. After learning about MSC, I knew it would give me the edge to land a job in device sales.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

I really enjoyed MSC. It was a tough 12 week program but necessary if you have no prior experience. They give you the tools to not only help land a job, but more importantly, to be successful in this industry.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Someone should attend MSC if they have no experience and they are serious about getting into the industry.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

Less than 6 months.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

My interview process was fairly laid back. Being with a distributor, I imagine my situation was more unique. We just met at a Starbucks and had more of a formal conversation than an interview. Afterward I was offered the position.

What is your current job like?

It?s busy. The days are long and all over the place but it?s extremely exciting being in the OR during surgery!

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

How to use LinkedIn to connect with others in the industry.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

I knew I wanted a role in spine so all of the surgical procedures and equipment we reviewed really helped boost my ability in landing that job.
