Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
I double majored in Exercise Science and Kinesiology as an undergrad and received my Bachelors of Science from The College At Brockport, State University of New York. I worked as a Sales Associate during the summers through college, and after graduating, I applied to Medical Sales College.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I knew I wanted to combine my knowledge from my undergraduate studies with business. Medical Sales was the combination I was looking for. What drew me to the industry was being able to help improve a patient?s quality of life by providing the best orthopedic devices on the market.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
A friend of a friend was about to attend MSC when I met him. After talking more about the program I was interested and researched the program and the industry. I kept in contact with him and saw how the whole process worked.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
Having talked to over 10 graduates, I knew I had done my research to know MSC was the real deal, and the experience I needed to successfully enter the medical device industry.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
Rigorous and intense; there is a lot of information in a short amount of time. Doable, but you have to be constantly focused to absorb the information.
What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
The concepts behind MDRepTrack? as far as demonstrating to the interviewer that I have an educated idea of the surgeons in the territory I would be working with, where I would go, who to talk to, and what would be expected of me. As well as being able to analyze products and compare them to competitors?.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
I believe Medical Sales College is greatly beneficial for anyone who is serious about entering the medical device industry, regardless of your background. If you are willing to dedicate and invest the time and energy, MSC will prepare you and make a tremendous impact.
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
Shortly after receiving my Bachelors of Science degree, I applied to Medical Sales College knowing MSC would give me a competitive edge, and make me a better candidate for any position.
Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?
Yes, to invest the time and money with no guarantee on the other end. But after talking to over 10 graduates and listening to their experiences, I was confident I would be able to enter the industry after MSC.
Explain what your interview process was like.
It was very smooth. I had one interview with a former MSC grad that I connected with on LinkedIn, and I had another interview with my new boss who reached out to me on LinkedIn. Both offered me a job about a day after the interview. I also had bigger companies interested in me for ASR positions. I was very surprised and pleased how fast everything happened.
What is your current job like?
To start, I am studying the company product line while covering cases with existing reps in the area.
