Tell me a little about your background.

I received my bachelor?s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of WI-River Falls in 2018. I have always had a love for science and the medical field, and I also really enjoy building relationships with people. I had some sales experience selling cell phones and beauty products. I thought that medical device sales was a good way to incorporate all of these different aspects of my life.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I had been trying to break into the industry for a few months before attending Medical Sales College. I wasn?t having much luck getting in on my own because I was told that I was lacking experience. MSC was a way to bridge this gap.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I came across MSC while searching for jobs in the medical device industry online and decided to dive further into it!

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

After speaking to a few people about MSC, I decided that it was worth the time and money to invest in an industry that I was ready to get into.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

I couldn?t imagine getting into the industry without attending MSC. I felt more prepared and confident in my abilities after graduating. It was a rigorous course that put emphasis on knowledge that is completely applicable to a career in medical device sales. I learned so many things at MSC that I would have otherwise had to figure out by making detrimental mistakes.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Medical Sales College can help bridge the gap into the medical device industry. It puts you a few steps ahead of other candidates and allows you to jump into things sooner, easier, and with more confidence.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

I tried to get into the industry for about 3 months before attending MSC.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

I had a video interview, a phone interview, and 3 in person interviews. During two of these interviews, I was asked to sell an item to the person who was interviewing me.

What is your current job like?

I have been working at my current job for two weeks now. It is exciting, fast paced, and challenging. As of right now, I spend most of my days in cases preparing to cover cases by myself soon.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

This industry is even more challenging and rewarding than I would have ever expected.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

I was given all the right information on how to take what I had learned throughout the course and do well in an interview. This allowed me to be confident during my interview process and ultimately landed me my position. Another thing that I gained from MSC was the mentorship from the staff. The relationships I built during MSC with my colleagues and instructors are so important for my success. Because of MSC, I have people that I can go to for advice and words of encouragement.
